ESA | Dunkerque-Tourcoing's workshop

sLow

02 - 13 April 2024 - exhibition open from Monday to Friday.

artconnexion has invited the students participating in the workshop run by Anne-Emilie Philippe, artist-professor at ESA art school in Tourcoing.

The second part of the Low cycle, after fLow in 2023, sLow is an extramuros exhibition of the galerie commune presenting a selection of editions and artists' books based on the idea of slowing down. It will culminate in a workshop led by Anne-Emilie Philippe.

For three days, the students will be working on both the editions to be displayed in artconnexion's exhibition space and the exhibition design. The exhibition will focus on slowness as a component of the work and the development of the pieces on display. The exhibition will include both works produced by the students and artists' editions chosen in connection with the theme.

The workshop will take place at the ESA Tourcoing screen-printing/publishing workshop and at artconnexion.

Lucas Burtin, a designer and printer, will be on hand for one day of the workshop with his mimeograph machine, a now obsolete printing machine which will be used to produce some of the student editions.

The exhibition is open to the public from Monday to Saturday and from 3pm to 6pm.
