artconnexion, a contemporary art organisation, has been producing unexpected, provocative encounters between artists and the public since 1994.
artconnexion creates innovative connections between artists and society through a range of cultural activities: citizen commissions, research and education projects, exhibitions, conferences, residencies and apprenticeships.
Located at 9 rue du Cirque in Lille’s old town, this house is the starting point for all our projects. It is a place of hospitality, learning, exchange of knowledge, artistic experimentation and encounters.
From pigeon fanciers based in Beauvois-en-Cambrésis (59), to the staff of the CHR hospital in Lille, from the town of Ault in the Somme (80), to the Setouchi Islands in Japan, artconnexion develops and co-develops projects locally, nationally and internationally.

Sébastien Deltombe - administrator and production manager
After studying public law and visual arts at the University of Lille, Sébastien Deltombe went on to gain experience in the production of art projects. In 2016, he accompanied the artists Melissa Dubbin and Aaron S. Davidson during their residency at the Pinault Collection in Lens. In 2018, he collaborated with Residency Unlimited in Brooklyn, N.Y. He joined the artconnexion team as administrator and production manager in August 2018.

Doriane Spiteri - artistic projects and development manager
Doriane Spiteri graduated in 2013 from curatorial studies and in 2014 in research and art critic from Rennes 2 University. She worked as administrator and coordinator of the Pôle Art.Santé then as in charge of professional training at Maze. As a curator, in 2017 she was a laureate of a curatorial program of the Abattoirs Musée-Frac Occitanie Toulouse. Art critic, she is a member of AICA-France, winner in 2022 of an editorial program and writes for artistes, art spaces and associations. She joined artconnexion as artistic projects and development manager in June 2024.

Amanda Crabtree
Co-fondatrice d’artconnexion en 1994, elle a rejoint la structure à plein temps en 2001. Elle a collaboré avec différentes structures d’art contemporain en tant qu’assistante expositions et/ou responsable de la communication au Centre d’art contemporain, Genève, le Magasin, Grenoble, le British Council, l’Institut pour l’art et la ville, Givors et Le Fresnoy, Tourcoing. Médiatrice historique du programme des Nouveaux commanditaires, elle se consacre désormais pleinement au développement de ce dispositif en région Hauts-de-France. Membre du CEAC (Centre d'Étude des Arts Contemporains) de l'Université de Lille, elle participe à plusieurs projets de recherche d'envergure nationale et internationale portant sur les enjeux de l'art en commun.
