Olivia Hernaïz

Les Heures Sont Là

From April 25th to September 26th, 2025
Free exhibition from Wednesday to Saturday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment.

Starting with the Tulip Mania crisis in the Netherlands in the 17th century which is considered to be the first speculative bubble in history, Olivia Hernaïz uses the tulip as a symbol of financial excess and abuse.

From the mountains of Central Asia, through Turkish palaces and European still life paintings, the tulip—an object of intense desire—becomes a way of exploring our relationship with living things, time and money.

By transforming the exhibition space into a place for exchange, discussion and knowledge transfer, the artist invites visitors to participate in a Time Bank, as an alternative to the current capitalist system.
