As part of a partnership between artconnexion and the Beaupré high school in Haubourdin, Anne Benoit's art students were invited to participate in a philosophy writing workshop and an art workshop in Cologne, to meet artists and produce a publication.

The students had the opportunity to meet artists exhibiting at artconnexion and those working in collaboration with the organisation, either through the exhibitions or in the framework of the New Patrons programme, in a relaxed atmosphere with questions and open conversations. The awareness of certain 'key issues' to the artist's work, of certain references, the demystification of the artist's position and role in society and in the art world became within the students' reach. This can be seen in their reports, analysis and critical work, a selection of which is given below. These short texts remind us that a critique or appreciation of an artistic work can be clear and relevant at the same time.

The "Displaced Workshops" scheme, created and implemented by Anne Benoit and artconnexion, enabled students and teachers to meet and work with artists in their own environment, in Cologne or in Kent. The experience is all the richer because it offers the pupils the possibility of discovering a city and a country, museums, galleries and other contemporary art spaces in the company of the host artist; the workshop organised around a theme chosen in common allows the encounter to be concretised with artistic practice situations directed by the artist.
