artconnexion hosted Japanese artist Sadaharu Horio, a former member of the Gutai movement and the KUKI collective, from 26 March to 2 April 2014 for a series of performances, meetings and an exhibition.

This event is an opportunity to mark ten years of collaboration with artconnexion. Started in 2004 with Sadaharu Horio's residency at the Maison Folie Wazemmes (organized by artconnexion), a period of exchanges and residencies has connected Lille's art scene to the Japanese art scene; about ten artists from Lille metropole have thus had the opportunity to carry out research stays in Japan.

This Printemps Japonais (Japanese Spring) was held in two parts: actions, performances and event shared between Lille and Brussels; exhibition at artconnexion. A second part was held in Kobe (Japan) in the autumn of 2014, where several artists from the metropolis were invited to present their work.
