This second logbook presents the artistic expedition Initium Maris from the years 2020 and 2021, part of the Paysages productifs series, an inventory of underwater landscapes of the French coast begun by Nicolas Floc'h in 2015.

Initium Maris and Paysages productifs aim to show, from a photographic point of view, what lies beneath the surface as far as the eye can see; to question the way the ocean is represented; to produce an inventory of landscape typologies at a given moment; to disseminate this work in the art world, but also in a wide variety of circles: the scientific community, the general public, schools, etc.
