Stéphane Magnin
Dragoon Paper Club
24 March - 14 May 2006
Stéphane Magnin is a artist who is a catalyst of ideas, energies and projects and works in multitude ways. Passionate about utopian architecture, science fiction and all kinds of games, he manipulates, mixes and diverts them in an ever more inventive spirit.
For exhibition Dragoon Paper Club, he presented a new creation in the form of an installation-environment at the Espace le Carré in Lille, in March-April-May 2006. This exhibition was an opportunity to make contact with the residents of the old town of Lille, as well as being open to all audiences, especially schoolchildren. Several artists, including two from the region, were invited to participate in the project: Grégoire Motte, Hervé Coqueret (Nord-Pas de Calais), Emilie Maltaverne (Nice), Bruno Persat and Sébastian Brink (Paris). In collaboration with the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Tourcoing, 4th year students participated in the design and production of the project. A BTS class from the Lycée Jean Rostand in Roubaix filmed the exhibition as part of their programme.
