Laurent Tixador has collected an assortiment of objects and prints evoking the conquestof the North Pole and the various expeditions to the Artic from the 19th century on, presented in the form of a Cabinet of curiosities. The collection took the form of a homage to Charcot and the early 20th-century explorers.

From the game of dominos made from whalebone to the now obsolete mapsand the educational slides used by the missioneries to teach the young Inuit, the objects immersed the viewer in this great bygone adventure. Planted in the middle of all these things, an iceberg made of synthetic resin looked like something out of science fiction...
